I ran with people three times this week, including early morning on Valentine's day. Our Thursday night trail group decided to hit the streets of Mt. Adams and surrounding areas finishing at Esoteric Brewing for some beverages and food. Sometimes a rainy muddy trail can be fun, but sometimes an easy run leading to the brewery can be more fun.

I ran hard and "fast" on Wednesday, crushing my prescribed mile pace targets. I don't really know if that was a good thing or not, but it felt good in the moment. By Sunday I was definitely starting to feel a bit low on energy. My wife Jen has been under the weather and I think my body might be working overtime to keep the little germs at bay. So far, so good. I definitely need to get more of this good sleep (the most important part of training).

Sleep Tracking

My weekly volume was down a bit and strength work continues to be a struggle, but I'm still on target and am looking forward to some longer runs in my future.

Building the base, plateau, then build some more. It's hard to believe that I'm six weeks into this plan and that I only have 11 weeks to go before race day. Time is flying by.
