Four weeks in and my base training is going super well. I feel just the right amount of tired minus a few to many late nights that are my own fault. I'm very happy to continue well with the strength workouts this far into the block. I've failed at that so many times before.

I hit 60 miles for the week and that was without any particular run that I would consider long. 13.4 miles was my longest and that was just a fun trail run with friends on a Sunday morning. Next week begins with a 5k time trial and eventually more speed work being layered in.

I have a 50 mile tune-up race on the calendar for the end of March and I'm looking at setting up a three day training camp weekend in early April that will probably be the peak of this build. It's all going by much faster than I thought it would.

I just got my airline tickets squared away this week and there are so many other things to do. Anyway... better get to it. Thanks for following along.

Logistics Part I

Getting ready for this race is not only about the training, being 1500+ miles from home and taking multiple days means this is the largest logistical challenge of any race I've been apart of. This post discusses some of my current thinking.
