In the small moments between running, lifting, eating, working and spending quality time as a father and husband, I've been doing a lot of pre-planning and thinking about all the things I need to get ready for this race.

  1. Airline Tickets

  2. Renting Vehicle/RV/Van

  3. Reserving Hotels/Airbnb

  4. Convincing crew & pacers to sign on to this crazy adventure

  5. Make equipment/gear/food lists

  6. Research & purchase needed gear I don't already have

  7. Studying the course for me and making notes & extra maps for my crew

  8. Look at pace charts that probably will be thrown out the window on day one, so I can give my family some idea of when I might finish. Currently, a thirty hour window. 😅

And that's just what I've thought of so far.

I finally got my airline tickets set this past week and I'm close on the crew vehicle. I'm arriving earlier than expected so now I'm also adding in what to do for an extra day or so to my todo list.

All of this is part of the excitement in doing this race. It's a challenge from way before the starting gun goes off and gives me a lot to think about.

Where exactly are we running? Honestly, the course is one of the major draws IMHO. When I heard what Jamil Coury and RD Steve Aderholt cooked up in their introduction video I was immediately interested. This point to point race is going to be epic.
