Weekly Wrap (04/16)
This was a week where I stressed about how beat up I felt from the previous peak week. I was hoping to feel better than I did and stressing about it just made it worse. I slept badly which I know delayed the recovery I needed so badly.
After a talk with my coach, I skipped the planned Friday workout.
On a positive note, I started "heat" training this week and have a lot more planned during the taper. Heat training in Cincinnati, Ohio during April means somedays it will be 80º and I can add a long sleeve and rain jacket and other days it will be 50º and I need to put on a minimum of four layers to get the same effect. I do wish I had easy access to a sauna or hot tub. Those methods sound much more enjoyable and supposedly will cause the same adaptations.
Less than two weeks to race day!
